Assignment 1: E-Wallpaper

This is step by step progresses on my E-Wallpaper assignment.
Step 1:
I open a new file which the preset is an international paper. I select the A4 size.
I then fill the background with blue color as my backdrop color. The image size is, 2,480 width pixel and 3,508 height pixel.

Step 2:
From the picture folder, i transfer the picture which I want to have as my background picture for my poster. I label the name as Poster Background on the first layer.

Step 3:
I go to the button edit>>stroke to make a border on my poster, i set the border as 100 PX as my canvas is quite big which is, 2,480 width and 3,508 height. I did not make it smaller first as i want to maintain the number of pixel so its easier for me to edit it.

Step 4:
I copy the admin building picture, and paste it inside the main poster. I use the eraser to erase the things i do not want and to keep the things i want. I also use the selection wand tools>quick selection wands after i copy the picture. I then adjusted the size using edit > image size. I set it properly as i must not touch the border.

Step 5:
On a different picture, i then use the lasso tools to crop the human picture and paste it inside the main poster. I use the combinations of normal lasso, polygonal and magnetic lasso to capture the human image perfectly. I then use the stamp tools, to copy the pattern of the skies so that it looks natural. As the picture of the human doesn't cover all of the space they should, i create the human body using the brush tools, line tools and stamp tools. I repeat the same technique to bring in the human's hand.

Step 6:
Using the same technique as above which is using the polygonal lasso tools, i copied the sign board and paste it inside the main poster. I drag the layer to be the 3rd layer as I want it to be behind the building, and behind the man.

Step 7:
I add wordings using the type tools>Horizontal type tools. Then i change the colors and add effects to it. I use the outer glows style. and use striking yellow to draw attentions.

Step 8:
Lastly, i completed the poster by adding a few more words, informations and University Multimedia Logo and Mascot.
After I've finish everything, i then saved it as .PSD files and .JPEG files in the original size. I later then smaller it sizes into 900 width pixels and 1273 height pixels so that it takes up less space and make it easier to be transfer.

Final results of my E-Wallpaper.

  1. IDEATION IS COOL...FOM OPEN DAY LOCATION IS IN CHANSELOR BLDG RATHER THEN THE REAL FOM BLDG ?
ANYWAY...THE CATCHY WORD OF "WHAT MAKES YOU BIGGER" WAS ANALYTICALLY GOOD CHOICE !!
FONTS ON RED & BLUE SIGNAGES NEED TO BE SHORTER, BIGGER & PRECISE. WHILE THE WORD..."LOTS OF INTERACTIVE PRIZES TO BE WON"...MAKE IT A SEPARATE BULLET ON TOP OF UR COPYRIGHT FONT. COLOR CHOICE IS RICH. STEADY..MEADY..AWESOME!
